If you or your baby are in dangerCall 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. Tell them if you gave birth recently.
If the crying is too much right now
- Lay your baby on their back in the crib or bassinet. A baby crying in a safe place is safe.
- Close the door and step away for 5 to 10 minutes. Breathe. Drink some water.
- Call or text someone: a friend, a family member, or the hotline above.
Never shake a baby. Walking away is the strong choice.
